I’ve been a pretty ardent supporter of Bloglines as my RSS feed reader of choice. I still think if all you want to do is read RSS feeds, Bloglines is the way to go.
However, I’ve seen so many people using Google Reader that I’m going to give it a shot for a little while and see what I think. The ability to share things on Google’s huge user network is the biggest incentive. I may not have it set up completely how I like yet, but so far I still prefer Bloglines’ interface for simply reading feeds.
Anyone else make the switch one way or the other?

I’ve used both for a while now, but have just decided to switch to Google Reader for everything except package tracking. I like the Google’s tools, stats tracking, ability to choose what to share, and recommendations. Honestly, though, I moved to Google because I had more over there and was tired of checking both. Still, I like Google better, though it’s tough to articulate.
I was a loyal Bloglines man for quite some time because Google Reader seemed to be taking forever to pick up new items (once took GR SEVEN hours to pick up one of my posts…that’s when I ditched it). But Bloglines new layout, while attractive, I find to be particularly slow, so I’ve switched back to Google Reader. It’s much faster now, and I too really like the sharing capability. It’s a toss-up, I guess. Both have their ups and downs, more or less just a matter of preference.
i first tried bloglines and never really liked it. When i came across google reader i decided that it was for me. maybe it’s the familiar interface which made it easier for me to use that led to me choosing reader over bloglines.
