Brit:

"Anyone who knows me knows I am not close to an individualist when it comes to Christianity, but when a person is 100% reliant upon someone else to grow the natural result is to become a Christian consumer. We do need to coach them to be able to do some of the training on their own. Good thoughts here."

And, wise move on not spending the $2k.

"own their faith to the extent that they can continue to grow and mature by themselves"
easy killer. your starting to sound very individualistic ;-)

but i know what you mean. it is a hard road to travel but how do we teach the both and truth?

i agree with your comment on trivializing...on a broader topic we do it in almost everything we do in ministry with teenagers, when it comes to their problems, the messages we share, programs we run, the texts we may send, the doctrine we try to teach... instead of tritism...i like to call it a failed attempt at parable teaching :-)

we fail to truly see how Jesus taught using metaphor, simply raw ideas and life stories that are able to hold the mystery of the gospel in them...

any ways
ps matt the domain name i want is $1,788.97....hahahahahaha i think not my friend
